Download your case study documents, duplicate them and record your case studies. These case studies (showing 30 different Havening Techniques® in practice) will demonstrate that you are exploring and gaining undertandings about the concepts of ADT. For example in one client session you may do four havenings, these could be an Event Havening, Transpirational Havening, Outcome Havening, Affirmational Havening. This session would be described using one 'Client Intake Record' document and a document for each type of Havening. After doing 10 Havenings contact Carol.
-
Make two videos of yourself using The Havening Techniquesâ„¢ with two different people. These digital films must be a minimum length of 15 minutes and a maximum length of 60 minutes. Contact Carol regarding how to get these recordings to her securely.
-
Once everything is completed, send it to Carol in clearly labelled folders via Dropbox.
-
After approval, stage 3 can be commenced. This is the course in Ethics & Legal Principles & Risk Management Strategies. Contact Carol.
When I was training I thought of it as personal development and I found that I learned so much from my case studies, 30 Havenings and videoing myself working with clients. Clients were very supportive in letting me video and were re-assured that the videos were only for my mentor to see. The science review gave me confidence that I had understood Dr Ronald Ruden's concepts and the latest scientific thinking. The ethics program also interested me and it is useful that it is international as increasingly we are using Skype and video calling for client sessions.
When I was doing stage two, I was always wondering if I was on the right track, so I offer you the opportunity to submit ten Havenings and have a chat on the phone or on Skype (up to one hour in all). This means I can answer any questions and give you some support and encouragement.

Case studies: How to document your case studies
The idea of the case studies is to help you gain experience and develop skills which will give you a strong foundation in the Havening Techniques. Documenting your case studies from the two-day training onwards is a way of enjoying the process of exploration. It is also a useful learning tool and record of your own progression. The process is designed to both remind you of the different processes and familiarise you with the terminology of Havening so that these aspects become easier and easier.
How to document your case studies
Aim to explore some different issues, a variety of people and show 30 Havenings. The 30 Havenings must include all the different types of Havening. For each session with a client you will have an Intake Record Page (IRP) and a page for each Havening as illustrated below (IRP and EHP, AHP). The first session with Client A as illustrated would count as 2 Havenings. Session 2 with the Client A might involve 5 Havenings (IRP and EHP, THP, OHP, HHP, IHP). The third session with Client A might involve five Havenings (IRP and EHP, THP, IRP, RHP, AHP). So already with one person with certain issues, in three sessions you would have documented 12 Havenings.
